..::a me of my own::..
>Individuality. Seems like there's not enough of it in the world, right? Everyone's following a trend, following the in-crowd, or not thinking for themselves. But in the world this day, with gossip being at its peak, why is it so hard to be ourselves? It seems like everything somebody does, someone else always categorizes.
Examples:
- She is unbelievable, overly promiscuous = she's a hoe. ✔Well maybe she just likes sex.
- He grew up around his mom, sisters, and aunts, but got money and married a white woman. ✔Maybe he didn't discriminate and fell in love with a woman that happened to be white.
>Sometimes people's crazy criticisms seriously gets under my skin. By whose standards are we living that we add negative labels to someone who does something other than what we agree to or what we like. Yeah, true, fundamental human knowledge is to judge (honestly I am guilty, and y'all are too *side eye*), but the problem is imposing your thoughts, ideals, and morals on someone else. Lawmakers are notorious for this, but I'm not going to put my hand in that cookie jar...I'll just discuss this among common folk. Why when a person expresses themselves au contraire the norm do we label them as "freaks of nature" ???
>On the other hand I have seen people who try so hard to be "cool", that they compromise their natural personalities. You may fool us, but do not fool yourself.
>Everything has been done or over-done; it's all about reinvention nowadays-think old school Madonna. People are forever going to talk about you, so keep giving them something to talk about. Be yourself...after all, you are awesome.
