Emotion Jerker
Since my team decided to wait until 2011 to win the Championship (wishful thinking hein? Go Bulls!), I decided to hop on board with another team. While I'm generally not a fan, the Celtics caught and maintained my attention this whole season. I just do NOT like Kobe Bryant or the Lakers. PERIOD. So while I was cheering so hard for the Celtics, mainly in spite of Laker fans and just to be talking mess, my heart wasn't too much in the game. This had to be the best game all season, besides obvious reasons. The Celtics faught to the end and I commend them for that. However, the Lakers faught when it counted the most and prevailed.
I believe Gasol or Artest should have won MVP. They definitely picked up the slack and set the tone in a lot of games. Don't get me wrong tho Kobe mos def kept the team ! I just would have liked to seen someone else share the glory (a-team-should-NOT-be-a-one-man-show rant in 5....4....3....2...). I don't know specific numbers, but I do know Kobe deserved it. Guess that's one of the perks of being a leader right? And PLEASE STOP WITH THE KOBE/MJ comparisons!!!!
How interesting would it have been if the NBA were like the NFL and the MVP could've gone to the losing team. Imagine Rondo, Pierce, or KG (maybe Ray too) as the Finals MVP even though they lost....funny, right?
But to back track...how about Artest?!?! He's soooooo funny thanking his psychiatrist and promoting his album while completely ignoring Michelle Tafoya all in one breath!!!! #hilarity Guess the $$$$ didn't change him....guess he ain't forget where he came from!!!!
While watching the highlights I started to get emotional. I really do not understand why either. The music, the emotions, the suspense, the disappointments all hit me right here *points to heart*. I had tears...real tears !!!!
I know the streets of LA were crazier than the south side of Chicago during the Bud Billiken Parade.
Congrats Kobe and the Lakers, Phil Jackson, and the city of LA!!!!
